davy seems to be loosing intelligence, as if he is mentally reverting to a neanderthals in some sort of backwards samson sort of way. the hair is literally devouring his brain to feed it's growth.
i think he's trying to strike a pose to look even cooler.
"you lookin' at my cheese boy?" -jonathan knight, mutter through a drunken cowboy slur just before photo was taken.
